This week, we mainly learned three techniques: LensDistortion, 3D Camera and 3D Matchmove. These are vital links in the post-production of film and television. Through the case of street view video, let us learn to replace and insert Other objects enter the movie.

This is my practice of adding a checkboard on the floor after correcting through LensDistortion, which allows me to understand how 3D objects that do not exist in the movie are composited into the work.

We also learned how to take advantage of placing 3D objects in Nuke X and controlling the scene with a 3D camera.

This week is a synthesis of what I have learned this semester, and I try to make the most creative changes to the objects in the classroom corridors. I removed the T-Rex, did colour correction to make the picture look more harmonious, and added a collapsing effect on the ground to make the image look richer.

In the first video, I used 3D Tracking to replace the poster on the side of the road. The second video is a short film I made based on my understanding of Nuke technology and principles. I mainly hope to use what I have learned to include Roto, 2D/3D Tracking, Color Correction, etc., and relevant technologies to make effects that impress the audience.

This video uses Nuke 2D Tracking to replace the screen with my personal instagram pages. In class, let us understand how to track the screen and replace it with other screens.

Color correction is a very important part of the CG industry. I used my understanding of hue, saturation, and contrast to correct the color of the plane and the background to make the picture look more harmonious.

This week’s practice is to apply the roto and tracker to the bridge and combine the character roto from last week to form a separate layer. In addition, we also need to start to conceive the presentation of the hot air balloon animation, and this project will use the techniques learned before.

Running Man Roto

This week we learned how to use roto in Nuke to set the keyframe at a specific number of frames. For this exercise, make the running man roto a separate layer. The picture below is my working file and the complete video.

Corner of Elephant and Castle

This week’s work is to edit the clips of life into a film. I made a conceptual short film using several memorable places in Elephant and Castle, using my understanding of camera movement.

Time

This week’s homework is to use a few pictures to express time. I think fabric and time have many similarities. They are often unpredictable, and their patterns are easily changed. Everyone’s perception of time is also different.
