This week, we mainly learned three techniques: LensDistortion, 3D Camera and 3D Matchmove. These are vital links in the post-production of film and television. Through the case of street view video, let us learn to replace and insert Other objects enter the movie.
This is my practice of adding a checkboard on the floor after correcting through LensDistortion, which allows me to understand how 3D objects that do not exist in the movie are composited into the work.
We also learned how to take advantage of placing 3D objects in Nuke X and controlling the scene with a 3D camera.
This semester, we will start to practice making 3D motion design. It can be used for many applications, including product demonstrations, music videos, title sequences, etc. In the first week, we will make bouncing balls divided into two types: a more elastic ball and a heavy ball. I set up a plastic ball and a ball. Glass balls can make it easier for the audience to understand. By setting the keyframes and node graphics, the speed and direction of the ball’s movement can be controlled to achieve close-to-real physical effects.
I used After Effect to composite the background and colour to make the picture more harmonious.
In addition, we are still practicing ballet simulation, including “active body” and “passive body” to make a simple domino effect, and then we will make a complete mechanism design.
In the past few weeks, I learned how to control the character’s facial expression and made the final version of the lighting. First, I completed the facial expression, rendered the man character, and went to After Effects for post-production. This time it is systematic work from modelling. In the later stage, it will be done by one person. Let us experience the workflow of practising character animation. The most challenging part is the weight of the skin because if this link is wrong, it will affect the animation production and even cause the model’s surface to be abnormal.
The rendering character must be fused with my background street view image. I need to consider the light source, and the colour tone must be rational. I tried many times before I succeeded. I chose this background because I refer to the classic bridge section of ‘Blade Runner’ ‘Tears In Rain’, which makes the atmosphere more aligned with the situation and background music.
Finally, I composited the rainwater with the background, used the blur effect to highlight the subject to make the picture appear layered, and then adjusted the colour to make the whole look more harmonious.
This movie condenses the content of my dissertation and summarizes the critical points in the essay respectively. My research topic is ‘Realizing the Possibilities and Trends of Future Technology: The Case of Science Fiction Films and I want to discuss the trend of future technology through the statement and the science that is likely to come true.
Science fiction and science are inseparable and will change with time, which makes science fiction works attractive. There are still many things in this world worthy of our exploration.
This week is a synthesis of what I have learned this semester, and I try to make the most creative changes to the objects in the classroom corridors. I removed the T-Rex, did colour correction to make the picture look more harmonious, and added a collapsing effect on the ground to make the image look richer.
This week the teacher asked us to discuss the topics we wanted to write about in our essay and gave us a tutorial. The suggestion I got was to narrow the scope so it would be easier to express what I wanted to write. I consider exploring the feasibility of future technology in science fiction films, but not limited to movies or literature. I am a sci-fi fan, and I also consider making a concept animation or short film related to sci-fi for my graduation, so I chose this theme as a preview. I hope to make a work like ‘Cyberpunk -Classic of Mountains and Seas’, which integrates cyberpunk into an oriental culture. I think it will be fascinating.
The original quote: The authenticity of a documentary is ‘deeply linked to notions of realism and the idea that documentary images are linked to notions of realism and the idea that documentary images bear evidence of events that actually happened, by virtue of the indexical relationship between image and reality’

The authenticity of a documentary is ‘strongly related to conceptions of realism and the idea that documentary pictures convey proof of events that happened, under the indexical relationship between image and reality,’ according to the definition.

In this week’s practice, I chose to analyze Love, Death & Robots Season 3 Episode 1 ‘ Three Robots: Exit Strategies’. The story stage structure is set in a post-apocalyptic world, where humans no longer exist. Three robots of different sizes and styles lead the audience Take an interesting Room Tour, the robot examines the consequences of modern humans’ rapid development of AI, technology, and space programs in a humorous tone.
